Rent Toy de Jour for your event!
If you're looking for a fun, memory-filled space for your next casual event - Toy de Jour is the perfect place.
Founded in 2014, Toy de Jour specializes in vintage toys, artwork, household items, and modern collectibles. Our new space (we moved into our current location right before the pandemic) can comfortably fit up to 65 of your closest friends & family or your even closer co-workers. We have a lot of room for people to explore and mingle, as well as a small stage for a performance, announcements, birthday time karaoke, or even if your CEO wants to make a boring speech.
We host events in our space frequently for things like book or toy releases, art shows, and the occasional grand opening party. I guess we've only had one grand opening party in our space, but it was a lot of fun so we're bringing it up. We even had a couple weddings in here, and those people are all still together so we must be doing something right.

Nearly everything about our place is BYO...
And nothing we have is fancy. If you’re looking for fancy, look elsewhere.
We are a chill venue for chill people that are into dork stuff.
Food
We don’t have a kitchen here for any elaborate catering. Food that can be dropped off and has very little set up is the way to go here. Might we suggest:
Pizza
Paulie Gee’s: A local favorite with a catering menu featuring 4 ft woodfired pizzas and a large scale 'Logan Square'. Check with them to see if they're currently handling catering. https://pauliegee.com/logan-square/
Domino’s: It’s across the street and they got them sweet $5 pizzas https://www.dominos.com/
Pequod’s: This is where we take our family for pizza when they come in town. https://pequodspizza.com/
Easy/Cheapish
Roti Modern Mediterranean: https://catering.roti.com/
Qdoba Mexican Eats: https://order.qdoba.com/menu/2628
Potbelly: Like if you give no craps about being fancy and just want everyone to be fulla food and not spend a lot. Potbelly is our babe. https://www.potbelly.com/stores/23398/elston-logan
Shopping Small/Local
Fry Like an Eagle: Just down the street, FLaE features hot dogs, fries, onion rings and other good fried stuff. Their entire menu is vegan.
Irazu: DIY Taco bar, Burritos, Sandwiches. They can also supply you with staffing for food service. http://irazuchicago.com/
Estrella Negra: Right down the street and we love them so much. Lots of vegetarian options! Email them: [email protected]
Quesadilla La Reina Del Sur: Vegetarian Mexican Food is our jam. Not actually sure if they do catering. We just love them so much. http://quesadillalareinadelsur.com/menu.html
Bang Bang Pie: Mix it up with something kinda weird but SO GOOD, Build Your Own Biscuit Bar! Also PIE!

We have very limited space where a caterer could set up tables for prep if they need to. We would need notice to get this area cleared and the caterer would need to bring their own tables.
Furniture Rental
We have almost no furniture. We have half of a picnic table you are welcome to use and we can provide up to two high top tables for free with the space, or add up to four more (six total) for your party at $10 per table.
Doolins will deliver all kinds of furniture (and other stuff) for a $95 delivery fee. (Last time we checked – Let us know if you call and they say differently so we can update this.) https://www.doolins.com/product-category/rentals/
Music / Entertainment
If you want to keep it simple, we have a hook up for an ipod/phone and a pretty excellent speaker system.
If you’d like a DJ, that can work too. We have a small stage they could set up on, or if you prefer to have them heard and not seen, they could set up behind our counter in the back. Email if you’d like suggestions of DJs we’ve worked with before. (talk to zespy about his dude. My recco is https://toastandjamdjs.com/)
Karaoke would be great here. Perfect for that tiny stage we keep talking about.
We have a small stage area that we’ve had bands play on before. They would need to bring their own PAs. We could also make a larger band work in other spots in the store. Email us.
Fun stuff we can provide for more of your $$:
If you’d like to rent arcade/pinball machines from Logan Arcade - we can set that up. Email us with any questions.
If you’d like TVs set up for your guests to play retro nintendo games, we can do that for $100 per station.
A step and repeat featuring your logo. (you will need to hire a photographer or just have people snap pics with their phones.) If you agree to include our logo on the step and repeat, we can offer this at a discounted price! (Can we talk to dude about how much these cost for the public and if we could actually offer a discount if they include our logo?)
We know a guy you can pay $200 to take event pics, let us know if you want his info. (TALK TO JEREMY)
Other Vendors
If you’d like a (wo)manned-photo booth complete with props, printed out pics and the option to send straight to your email, we recommend these guys: https://www.ilovephotobooth.com/
A magician that we swear might actually be magic.
